First Step Health Center is a full-service partial hospitalization (PHP) and Outpatient (OP) that offers a non-residential substance abuse treatment program whose mission is to provide evidence-based individualized treatment to those suffering from the disease of addiction. Our target population is to serve any adults 18 years and older who are currently abstinent from drugs and alcohol. We believe that by introducing clients to a 12-step concept combined with family therapy and healthy practices the clients can achieve long term sobriety.
Clients receive assistance and referrals for services not provided by First Step Health
Center complies with applicable Federal, State, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
Program Philosophy:
It is the philosophy of First Step Health Center treatment program to reduce the incidence and prevalence of substance abuse and other behavioral health problems among adults as well as their families. This will be accomplished by providing individual, group, and family therapy, as well as 12-step support and other community support programs. Clients are empowered to make decisions about their care with the expected outcome of an increased quality of life. This is achieved through the use of a variety of treatment models. These models are a personalized blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Brief Strategic Family Therapy, Trauma Based Therapy, Relapse Prevention Groups and Holistic Treatment.
